A Rumble in the Jungle

On Friday’s episode of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here a new game was introduced which sees three camp members adopt the rather prestigious title of Camp Saviour. Chosen by the public, Westlife singer Kian Egan and  TOWIE star Joey Essex teamed up as the first two saviours.

However, last night’s episode announced yet another twist to the new game with Ant and Dec going into the camp to announce there would be a third saviour – which would be Amy Willerton, Miss Universe. Rangers came into the camp to escort Amy to her new bed for the night in a new camp with Kian and Joey.

As soon as Amy left, her fellow camp mates couldn’t wait to start attacking her. Laila, who plays Big Mo in EastEnders, got up (finally) and asked every member if they knew who Amy was before she entered the jungle. She proceeded to say Amy was the ‘eye candy in the Jungle’ and claimed the public were voting because of what they saw, not because they know who she is.

Then, Michael Wright decided to slate the blonde beauty, saying she was ‘too spoiled’ along with a few other abusive comments towards her.

And, if being slammed by two other camp mates wasn’t enough, Emmerdale’s Chaz Dingle, Lucy Pargeter then got on her soap box about the mode;=l/beauty queen. The soap star was furious that Amy was now a Camp Saviour and joined in the ‘fun’. All of her jibes at the blonde have sparked fury on Twitter, many claiming Lucy should be ‘booted out’ and that she’s a ‘complete bully’.

Another camp mate joined in the hate-fest directed at poor, vulnerable Amy, TV presenter Annabel Giles, who was  saying Amy should wash up, instead of Olympic gold medalist Rebecca Adlington.

Tonight’s eviction will see one non-immune celebrity leave the Jungle, those  immune from eviction are Rebecca Adlington, Laila Morse and Strictly’s Vincent Simone.  With Lucy as favourite to be booted out on tonight’s show, Ms Pargeter might just find herself heading straight back to the Woolpack and her life of pulling pints.
