All Time Low

X Factor has reached an all-time low when it comes to the ratings for this year’s final showdown. The show only managed to pull in an average of 8.5 million people, including people catching up on ITV+1,  a million viewers down on last years final. This may be due to the fact that the wrong people were in the final or that people have just lost interest in Simon Cowell’s flagship show, which is in its tenth series.

Even with star guests such as Ellie Goulding, The Killers, Shane Filan and even the ‘shamazing’ judge herself, Nicole Scherzinger belting out a number, people just weren’t tuning in. This year saw prison guard Mum of two,  Sam Bailey crowned the winner beating out Nicholas to the crown. Hopefully next year will see a marked improvement for the show or could it really be the end of the road for the once Saturday night staple?
