Last year, we let you know about Highway England’s plans to build a triple-decker roundabout at the Silverlink Junction in North Tyneside. Well, now, eight months into the project, we thought we’d bring you an update on the improvements.

Thanks to some great ariel footage from Geordie Drone, filmed on 26 March, we can now see what the roundabout looks like from above.

There’s clearly a lot more to be done, but it’s looking impressive so far. By March 2019, drivers will no longer have to queue at the roundabout during busy periods, making travelling along this route a lot easier.

Although, you will be faced with heavy traffic, traffic cones and barriers – as well as lots of noisy building work – for the time being.

Do you think it’s worth it? Let us know down below.
