And Now, Something Really Chill

Y’know what sucks about hospitals?
The lack of things to do, staring at the ceiling, bored. Especially for children’s wards – think of how boring it must be for younger people in a hospital. TV costs money, and there’s never anything on worth watching.
So the solution?
Donating consoles.
Children at the Seattle Children’s Hospital have been given a reason to crack a smile after the charity Gamers Outreach donated 10 Xbox Ones. These were complete with monitors, controllers, and a bunch of games.
Oh my poor heart.
The hospital said that the gaming stations help provide a distraction for kids, making them feel “normal” and giving them some fun, and creating a social environment.
The consoles are on a little kiosk that can be moved around for convenience, and can be lifted and lowered.
Zach Wigal, founder of the charity, said:
“It’s amazing to see this project come to life after a year of planning,”
It’s incredible.
A little something cool, and awesome for a Tuesday. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ll be sobbing in the corner.
