Anne Castaway …well almost

Pictures can be seen of Anne Hathaway struggling (clearly taken by the ever-so-concerned paparazzi) in the Hawaiian yesterday. Reports say that the Les Miserable star was caught in a riptide that left her out of control and as if this wasn’t stressful enough, she cut her foot on something sharp on the sea bed and was screaming and waving her arms round to summon help.

She was rescued by a nearby surfer who saw her weak efforts to keep her head above the water, and she limped off the beach in agony, with a cut foot and undoubtedly a large dose of shock.

But nothing can slow the Princess Diaries star down, as she returned to the beach a few hours later, like the whole thing had never happened.
