Ant and Dec Make us Proud

Millions of viewers tuned in tonight to watch the National Television Awards on ITV. The Landmark Award was presented to a certain Geordie duo… Ant and Dec! Philip Schofield was the man to present the award and he started off by making everyone guess who it was by reading a paragraph from a letter written by the Duke of Cambridge himself Prince William. The letter consisted of nothing but praise for the comedy couple and said that they have changed the face of Saturday night TV forever. Ant and Dec had already won an award for best TV presenters earlier in the award ceremony. The shocked twosome then went on to watch a short clip of themselves, which included Simon Cowell, Kylie Minogue, Holly Willoughby, Sir Bruce Forsythe, Alan Shearer and others talking about their career over the last 25 years; which all started out with the infamous ‘Byker Grove’.

Ant and Dec then went up to collect their award and started to get a bit emotional but somehow managed to hold it together. They thanked everyone who they have ever worked with and told each other that they wouldn’t be where they are today without one another, which just brought a tear to everyone’s eyes.

Anthony decided to make it a victory moment, 21st century style, by taking a selfie with Declan which included the whole of the London 02 arena audience! Us Geordies can’t be more proud!
