Ant McPartlin Goes Into Rehab

Local star and much loved TV presenter Ant McPartlin has checked into rehab after becoming addicted to prescription drugs and suffering from a drink problem.

The 41-year-old Geordie celeb apparently sobbed as he confessed that he was struggling to his wife and his TV partner Declan Donnelly. Now that he has come out into the open and admitted that he needs help, he should hopefully be able to make a healthy and quick recovery with the help of a rehabilitation centre and programme. He is going to spend two months receiving treatment from a specialist clinic in the hope that it will save him and his marriage, which has been described as ‘strained’.

Ant told the Sun that he felt like he’d “let a lot of people down,” and he then went on to apologise to his friends and family. The reason he is being so honest about his experience is because he believes it will help others suffering from similar problems to speak out and ask for help when they need it.

His friends and family all seem to be supportive of him so far. Declan Donnelly tweeted this to reassure and thank fans:
