Australia Did a Thing

In case you missed it, last week, the Australian public voted in favour of same-sex marriage in a historic poll. With a sixty-forty split, equal marriage is now legal in the land down under, making it the 26th nation to get on board.

One man, in particular, was delighted with the news, Australian MP Bob Katter, who spoke about it on NBC Australia. But while he loves the prospect of equal rights, he became livid when mentioning crocodiles ‘tearing people to shreds.’

MSNBC producer Kyle Griffin shared this gem with us all. But consider this – crocodile marriage.

That’s what’s next.

They’d be so snapped up in love who cares right?

 

In all seriousness though, well done Australia for joining us all in the present where basically everyone should have the same human rights and marriage rights. Nice.
