That’s right, people, the Battlefield 1 beta is here, and totally free to play on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

You can download it for PS4 via this link if you’re in Europe, and right here if you’re in North America. PC players (I.e. me) can simply go to the Origin client and navigate to free games and start the download. The download is relatively small for a Battlefield game, only standing at 7GB.  Xbox One players can get it here.

Playing the beta on PS4 does not require PlayStation Plus, but will require Xbox Live Gold on Xbox One.

The beta features the recently featured Sinai Desert map, which will allow you to take to the horses for some higher combat, or hop on the armoured train to really b**p things up. Of course there are tanks and other vehicles to command too.

The beta features the Conquest and Rush modes, and can support up to 64 players at one time.

EA has not confirmed how long the beta will last, but it’s expected to last four days or so.

The game is scheduled to come out in October, so we still have a little while to wait.

You’ll have my thoughts on the beta soon!
