Say what you want that’s a good pun.

An Arctic Polar bear has been located in western Russia, some 700km away from its natural habitat.

Siberian Times reported that the bear was only ten months old and was found near the Kolyma River, where locals fed the beast throwaway fish. The cub was successfully captured, with plans to release it back into the wild, in a colder territory.

Pictures are from the Ministry of Nature Protection.

Some have speculated as to how the cub was separated from its mother. Some say it could have been attacked by another bear, forcing the cub away, or it could be due to climate change. As the northern regions grow warmer, the creatures can’t go where there’s ice, forcing them to move further and further south.

The bear is eating and healthy according to the outlet.
