One of the most famous solo artists in the world, Beyoncé, is set to launch her Formation tour in Sunderland’s Stadium of Light this June. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Tuesday, 9th February, with all remaining tickets sold a week later, at 9am. Sunderland commercial director Gary Hutchinson stated that the performance will be the ‘biggest concert’ ever held at the  stadium, adding that “We can’t wait to welcome her to the city and the stadium.”

This is not a performance to miss, but as always it’ll be extremely difficult to get your hands on some tickets, with her 2013 tour selling out in under 10 minutes. Even if you do manage to get your hands on some tickets, it’ll certainly put a hole in your pocket – with prices starting at £77.70 and ranging all the way up to £385 each for the BeyHive Package. Although the exceedingly pricey packages will get you closer to the star herself, it seems a tad pricey for how few privileges you receive alongside this – a designated check-in, a merchandise item designed and created exclusively for package purchasers and a collectible Beyoncé laminate and lanyard.

If you want to try your luck early, you can find tickets for the pre-launch here, by signing up for the BeyHive fan club. Alternatively, American Express Card members will also have a chance at purchasing tickets early, with these tickets going on sale at 12pm on Tuesday 9th. If you have no success there either, you can always try the general sale from the likes of Ticketmaster.co.uk.

So, if you’re planning on attending the event, good luck – you’ll need it!
