Bitstrips was holding on to the title of the second most popular free app available for download on iTunes last week. On this app you can create your own cartoon character and make cartoon strips involving you and your friends.
I think that this is a really fun app because you can create a character for yourself, and use your imagination to either make it look just like you, or something completely different. The app is fairly easy to use, as all you have to do is choose from all of the features and then select a scene. There are over 1000 customised templates to choose from, so you can always make something different. The maker of this app has clearly put some thought into the design and creation of this, as they are made to be quite amusing so that you can have a good laugh between friends. I think that it’s a good idea to be able to share your creations on Facebook because it gets more people interested and involved.

However, I believe that this app would probably get a bit boring after a while, as even though there are a lot of different scenarios, it is still pretty similar. Also, at the minute, you can only sign in to Bitstrips through a Facebook account. Some people don’t have Facebook and therefore they can’t use the app, and others simply may not want to link it with their profile. Although, they are currently making it so that you will be able to make an account without the use of Facebook, which will be up and running in the near future.

I would suggest downloading this app if you want something that can be used for an occasional joke or laugh between friends, but it isn’t likely to be something that you use daily, or even regularly.
