It’s official: Ben Stiller’s infamous pout, made famous in his hit movie Zoolander, has landed him the front cover of Vogue!

There has been a flurry of excitement amongst fans everywhere ever since a shock ending to Valentino’s runway show last march at Paris Fashion Week when Ben Stiller (Derek Zoolander) and co-star Owen Wilson (Hansel) hit the runway in a surprising close for the show. The announcement of a sequel to the Stiller’s 2001 triumphant Zoolander came 14 years after the release of the original movie. An all-star comedy cast of Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson and Will Ferrell will be returning to our screens again February 12th for the long-awaited and much-anticipated release of the sequel everyone is calling ‘Toolander.’

And now, in another unexpected surprise for the fashion world, February’s front cover of Vogue will feature none other than everyone’s favourite fictional male model: Derek Zoolander. The cover features Stiller adorning his signature pout ‘Blue Steel’ next to glamourous co-star Penelope Cruz. The feature, shot by photographer Annie Leibovitz, also includes pictures of Stiller modelling with some of the hottest names in fashion right now, including models of the moment Jourdan Dunn, Gigi Hadid and Joan Smalls.

The pictures are hilarious, ludicrous, and at the same time, the perfect pre-promotion for the new movie. And if this wasn’t ridiculous enough for you, you’ll all be tickled to know that Stiller did in fact reveal that he approached none other than Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld for a cameo in the movie! Much to our disappointment, Lagerfeld will not be appearing in the film, but rumour has it that hot-right-now designer Marc Jacobs was slightly easier to persuade. Watch this space!
