Boris Johnson: Trump worthy of Nobel Prize

In what is perhaps the best example of political flattery in quite some time, Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson has said President Trump is worthy of a Nobel Prize for peace.

Speaking to the President’s favourite TV show Fox News last night, Johnson highlighted the bonuses of the Iran nuclear deal which Trump has announced he is pulling the US out of. It was the Foreign Secretary’s last-ditch attempt to make the President listen to international pressure to keep the deal with Iran, which prevents the country from developing nuclear weapons.

Mr Johnson said: “If he [Trump] can fix North Korea, and if he can fix the Iran nuclear deal, then I don’t see why he’s any less of a candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize than Barack Obama”.

Sadly for Johnson, though, his remarks went without acknowledgement from the former reality star turned POTUS. The President has rejected the Iran deal, calling it a “decaying, rotten structure”.
