Boy Fans vs Girl Fans

We’ve all seen footage of crazy teenage girls chasing cars filled with boy band members and teenage pop stars. We’ve all had our ear drums pierced from that deafening ‘girl scream’ that coincides with Justin Bieber leaning over a balcony. In fact, teenage fan girls have one of the worst reputations of any group of fans ever.

We look on in pity as they weep on the floor after failing to purchase The Wanted tickets and we roll our eyes at the malicious tweets exchanged from Directioners to Swifites on Twitter.

HOWEVER.

Everyone turns a blind eye to fan boy behaviour. Can’t think of an example? We took the liberty of googling the words “Newcastle Derby,” which should really bring up nothing but pics of footballers in black, white and red but we were greeted with this, nothing but pics of grown men facing off with each other and the police.

There was a massive police presence after a football game between Newcastle United and Sunderland Athletic last year, and some loser even punched a horse in the face, letting his city down in the eyes of the world.

Of course we can’t speak for everyone, but to us, 13 year olds singing along to Miley Cyrus and getting over excited over receiving tickets is way more forgivable than the GROWN MEN who literally smash up their own cities, punch animals and sing racist chants to the football players and other fans.
