We don’t need to remind you – but it’s bloody freezing. Even more so in Canada, where the gorgeous Niagara Falls reside. Wait, what? What do you mean it froze?

An arctic blast has hit the falls, freezing over the surrounding area. The tourist attraction sees over 14 million people a year and the deep freeze hasn’t kept them away either. Meteorologists are calling it ‘extreme cold’.

South of Canada’s border, the cold has been hell on residents of the US. The US National Weather Service has issued multiple warnings and that a second icy blast will hit at some point in the next few weeks. It was reported that elderly and disabled residents have been left stranded after a record-breaking amount of snow left them trapped in their homes.

Scientists have also reported literal sharks washing up on the coasts of New England, which were believed to have been killed by the sheer cold.

In the UK, we got a little bit of snow last week, but it’s turned to rain and just generally being a bit cold. Even so, Met Office warnings are still in place, after news of a Storm Eleanor is headed for Britain.

Winds are predicted to be up to 80mph, with the Met Office issuing a ‘danger to life’ warning. The storm is expected to hit this week in the North-East and West of England and parts of Scotland.

Stay cosy instead and just don’t go outside.

It’s how I cope.
