Hundreds of couples carrying their own AR-15 packed a Unification church in Pennsylvania on Wednesday to have their marriages ‘blessed’ and their weapons celebrated as…’rods of iron’. There is so much wrong with this that we don’t even know where to start.

Women dressed in white and men dressed in dark suits held onto their guns, which they were urged to bring unloaded. The church is in rural Pocono Mountains, which is about 100 miles north of Philadelphia.

Many of the attendees wore crowns, some made from actual bullets.

Students from an elementary school were urged to relocate for the day, while the ceremony took place, according to the Wallenpaupack School District webpage.

Reverend Hyung Jin ‘Sean’ Moon, leader of the church blessed around 250 couples at the service. The blessing ceremony had been planned long before an expelled student shot down 17 students in Parkland, Florida on Valentine’s Day, a spokesman said.

Their whole deal is to protect the second amendment and that if teachers had been armed, many lives would have been saved.

Obviously, we don’t have to say how wrong this is, given that three years ago, the Pennsylvania school district was shut down during the manhunt for one Eric Frein. He used an AK-47-style weapon to ambush a state trooper barracks, killing a one and wounding another.

You know what doesn’t help in a gun situation? Another AR-15.

You know what does? Taking away the guns to start with.
