Claire Danes Lights Up 2016 Met Gala

The annual Met Gala is an evening that every fashionista waits patiently for every year, to see the celebrities strut their stuff down the red carpet. The hype this year was all about what the usual suspects would be wearing, such as the Kardashians and the Jenners, the models, and, of course, the wonderfully outrageous Lady Gaga. But to the complete surprise of everyone there and everyone at home, it was American actress Claire Danes who stole the show in a dress that literally lit up the room.
The award-winning actress pulled up to the star-studded red carpet outside the Metropolitan Museum of art in New York in a bus that was hired for her by the designer of the dress himself, Zac Posen. The actress, who stars in hit TV show Homeland, was forced to take the bus due to the sheer volume and size of her one-of-a-kind dress. Stepping out of the bus, Danes wowed dazzled onlookers in her hand-sewn Zac Posen dress in true Cinderella style. What’s more, guests of the gala were even more stunned by the fact that the dress literally glows in the dark! Posen crafted the gown carefully with organza and fibre optics in accordance with this year’s theme ‘Manus x Machina’, allowing Danes to truly steal the limelight.
