England football player, Ashley Cole, has signed a two year contract with Italian club, Roma. Mr Cole left Chelsea FC at the end of last season after eight great seasons with the squad. Ashley, however, took a huge blow when he didn’t make it into Roy Hodgson’s magic eleven England World Cup team.

The 33 year old decided to join Roma, which is in the Italian football league, Serie A, looking to ‘move onto a new challenge’. Cole’s two year deal will expire on June 30th 2016, but the contract also includes an option of a third year with the Serie A club, if Ashley wishes to stay on.

The defender started his career with Arsenal in November 1999, making 228 appearances and scoring nine goals for the team. With Ashley in their presence, Arsenal won two premier league titles and won three FA cups. In August 2006, Cole decided to make a move to rival club, Chelsea. After joining the blues, they won the premier league 2009-10, four FA cups, one Football League Cup and a UEFA champions League. Ashley Cole has won the FA cup more than any other player in history!

Addio, Leggenda
