Fancy a decent first-person-shooter with some weird stuff shoved in it? Well, we think we may have something for you. The Darkness 2 was a 2012 shooter, released on Xbox 360 and PS3 and PC. Unfortunately, this only applies to Steam users. But, the title is backwards compatible with Xbox One if you fancy giving it a go.

The games are based on the comic book series of the same name. It mixes traditional shooter elements like dual wielding guns and shooting said guns, with magic and mayhem. You essentially control two demons like tentacles on your shoulders. It’s pretty cool.

It includes a four-player co-op campaign, where you play as one of four power wielding characters. You can also only use these abilities in the dark, so you have to take out lights dispatch enemies using a combination of gunplay and throwing stuff off of them. A decent enough game to play if you fancy something laid back and easy.

The deal is on until tomorrow (28th March) so you better act fast if you want to keep the game for free.

Just head to the Humble Store right here and follow the instructions on the site. We’ll keep you posted if any other free games pop up.

If you’re looking for some free-to-play games, have a look here. Just ignore the Marvel Superheroes one. That was sadly terminated this year.
