What better way to spend Valentine’s Day than wandering through one of EA’s best horror games to date. Dead Space is free for a limited time!

Published by the now axed Visceral Games, Dead Space was a surprisingly good game, released way back in 2009 for Xbox 360 and PS3. It consisted of you pushing through a morbid and deadly space station, where the dead have morphed into weird, gross alien things. It was surprisingly fun.

The game is available from Origin, EA’s PC store and game library. You can grab it here.

Alternatively, if you subscribe to EA’s Origin Access, then you can play all three Dead Space games for free. Dead Space was, in fact, the very first game added to Origin’s On the House campaign when it kicked off in 2014. It is the first title that has appeared twice in the program.

Last year, EA murdered publisher Visceral Games, after it was revealed that the third instalment did not meet their sales targets. It is unclear what the future of the franchise will be, but there’s no time like the present to get stuck into it.

Happy Valentine’s!
