It’s been a crappy few days.

A stuntwoman, who has thus far not been named, was killed in a motorcycle accident on the set of Deadpool 2 in Vancouver. Passers-by originally thought that it was a scripted part of the film, but it was soon revealed that this was not the case. The stunt driver reportedly was flung from the bike while braking, before crashing into the glass at Shaw Tower.

The Vancouver police department tweeted that “a stunt driver has died during a stunt on a motorcycle.” The statement after the fact was as follows:

“Vancouver Police can confirm that a female stunt driver has died on the set of Deadpool 2 during a stunt on a motorcycle,”

The next Deadpool movie was scheduled for release in June 2018, however, it is now unclear as to whether that date will change due to this horrible accident.

Ryan Reynolds, Wade Wilson himself, posted his response today:

Condolences to the family of the stunt driver and the cast and crew who worked with her.

This sucks.
