Today is the first day of Lent, which means a lot of you across the country will be set on giving something up for the next 46 days. Whether it’s alcohol, fizzy drinks, or anything else, you’re probably having withdrawal symptoms already. However, today also marks the first day of Dechox March, a challenge set by the British Heart Foundation to give up chocolate throughout the whole of March, in order to raise money for life-saving research.

What do I have to do?

It’s as simple as it sounds – all you need to do is give up chocolate for a month, in any form – whether it’s a chocolate biscuit, a hot chocolate, or even a giant slab of chocolate cake (especially that one!) it’s all off guards.

Then, try to raise some money in the process. This bit is pretty simple too, as once you’ve signed up you’ll automatically be given a JustGiving fundraising page. So, all you need to do is promote it to your friends and family, and raise as much money as you can!

How do I sign up?

You can sign up here. It’s not too late!

If you’re taking part in Dechox March this year, let us know down below!
