Looks like that trailer wasn’t just for show, huh?
Bungie’s looter-shooter Destiny 2 has been crushing it this past week. From the strong slate of positive reviews to its now recorded 1.2 million concurrent users over PS4 and Xbox One. The developer reported the number on Twitter, which is very impressive for a game that’s not even a week old.
While their servers have faced some issues with connectivity, due to the number of players online, the game is on the whole very stable. Some players may have to queue to get in, to stop Bungie’s servers from actually exploding.
Thank you all so much for playing, Guardians! Right now Destiny 2 has over 1.2 Million concurrent players online. We'll see you in the wild.

The game is only set to get bigger, however, when the PC release comes out in October. Personally, I found the beta a bit meh, but again, players on PC loved the extensive graphics options, customisation, FOV and the total removal of recoil. It’s a good indicator they fixed a lot of the issues that the original game was plagued with.
Destiny released in 2014 but left players wanting when it came to story and content. It’s cool that a lot of reviewers have praised the campaign, something that was notoriously screwed around in the first game.
Destiny 2 launches on 24th October for PC users and can be bought from the Blizzard app. It’s currently available on the Xbox One and the PS4.
