A student asked her professor if she could bring her dog to her final class before Hurricane Irma hit, to make a quick exit to Atlanta and beat the storm traffic. Jessica Lewis emailed her tutor saying, ‘I thought you might actually be a cool teacher’ and the teacher’s response was brilliant.

Student Begs Professor To Let Her Bring Her Dog To Class Before The Hurricane

Luna, the good girl in question, stayed in the class for the full hour and 15 minutes, causing little disruption and delighting other classmates. Lewis told The Dodo:

‘She was pretty well-behaved in class, she went straight to whoever was talking for the most part, like if someone was answering or asking a question. Just walked around and got pets from everyone and made friends. The really funny part was that every time the professor stopped and asked if anyone had questions or comments, she whined loudly like she was responding. It was hilarious.’

It’s good to hear stories like this while the storms are still raging. People are generally chill. Plus, who wouldn’t want a dog in their class? I’d have worked a lot harder if there was a dog staring me down.

Who would want to disappoint a face like this?
