Ed Sheeran has unveiled that he really wants to make a movie, in the same vein as Eminem’s biopic 8-Mile, which depicted his struggle through his life in general, until he was discovered by Dre. It was a pretty powerful movie for the time, a typical ‘rags to riches’ kind of tale. But would it work for our dear old Ed?

The singer said to Q:

“I want to have an 8 Mile moment, but 8 Mile meets Notting Hill. Not gritty like Detroit but, like, Ipswich. I’ve got loads of songs about Ipswich that haven’t come out so I could make a soundtrack.”

Apparently, Ed is in talks with a director who he loves currently and it’s rumoured to be Richard Curtis, the guy behind classics like Love Actually, Four Weddings, and Notting Hill. Whether he is in contact with others is to be found out.

He should try to get with Peter Jackson. Do Lord of the Charts: The Shape of Cash, with the prequels being The Busker: The Battle of the Same Five Songs Constantly on the Radio.

Sometimes I wish I wasn’t so jaded.

It has been confirmed the star will appear in a cameo role in the next season of Game of Thrones, and it wouldn’t be his first acting role either. He starred in the FX medieval drama The Bastard Executioner.

Why do we bring everything back to GoT lately? Oh yeah, because it’s great.
