FA Cup Round Up

This weekend we have a break from the premier league with some action in the FA Cup. Peterborough played Leicester which the score ended 1-5. After the first game-ending even this time the away side had a dominant performance with 2 goals from Diabate and Iheanacho and one from Ndidi to secure a place in the next round. Hughes was the only scorer for the home side.

Huddersfield and Birmingham ended on even terms 1-1. Steve Mounie scored for the home side and Jutkiewicz was the scorer for the championship side. Brighton beat Middleborough 0-1 with a goal from Glenn Murray to knock the North East side out of the competition. Notts County drew with Swansea 1-1. Narsingh opened the scoring for the Premier League side followed by Stead for Notts County. Jack Stephens scored the winner for Southampton against Watford in their 1-0 win. Watford has been struggling in recent weeks, which was reflected in the performance.

West Ham was beaten by Wigan with two goals from Will Grigg to give the side the unexpected win. Newport County managed to draw against spurs 1-1. Padraig Amond was the first scorer for the home side followed by main man Harry Kane for Tottenham. West Brom beat Liverpool away 3-2 with two goals from James Rodriquez and an own goal from Joel Matip securing the win. Roberto Firmino and Mohammad Salad scored for the home side.

On Sunday Chelsea played Newcastle and the game ended 3-0. Michy Batshuayi scored twice followed by a beautiful free kick from Marcos Alonso to secure the win. The last game of the weekend was between Cardiff and Manchester City. The game ended 0-2 with goals from Premier league stars Kevin De-Bruyne and Raheem Sterling to get the win for the league leaders.
