So, another year gone, another Game Awards out of the way. This year, we had some incredible games, so let’s see who won what. Plus, we’ll be looking at the few trailers that dropped during the show, including the newest trailer for Dead Stranding.

So, awards then. Just to keep it short, we’re going to go through the most important of awards, including Best Art Direction, Best Game Direction, Best Soundtrack and Games for Impact. Also, the coveted Game of the Year award too. The runners-up are also there, the winner is in bold.

You can read the entire list of entries and winners here.

It’s awesome that games like Hellblade and NieR got some recognition. I was afraid that these games would slip under the radar. Well done to the winners. I mean, I can’t agree with the fact that Zelda had better game direction than the likes of Horizon or Odyssey but, hey-ho.

The Game Awards were hosted by Geoff Keighley and featured, for the first time, the Game Awards Orchestra. It’s pretty sweet.

Trailers then.

First up, I have no idea what’s going on here, but it’s the new Death Stranding trailer. The love child of Guillermo del Toro and Hideo Kojima, the trailer explains nothing, and we still don’t have any gameplay. Hype is decidedly low.

And Metro: Exodus, as promised, got a new trailer too. Artyom, the main character from the other two games, is searching for something, with Ana, his wife(?) giving a monologue to him as he wanders the wastes. We can’t wait!

Finally, we got a little snippet of gameplay from the desert map coming to PUBG.

And we’re done for the Game Awards 2017! Be sure to stick around for our top games of the year!
