Arguably the most exciting and largest festival in the UK, Glastonbury hit the public eye last week and ran from Wednesday to Sunday (26th June). While thousands of people were stuck in traffic for hours getting to the festival, and were forced to experience the muddiest of conditions, for most, this year’s performances were undoubtedly worth every minute of it.

With headlines from Coldplay and Adele, the festival was set to be amazing from the offset, and it certainly didn’t fail to meet expectations.

As ever, Adele moved the audience with her soulful harmonies and heartfelt lyrics, and some were even left in tears. While the announcement of her performance did at first raise concern for some festival-goers, as ever she brushed it off, saying:

“I don’t have a lot of upbeat happy songs, which is why I think people were annoyed. But f*** them, eh?”

However, Coldplay stole the show headlining for the fourth time, with Neil McCormick in the Daily Telegraph stating that they

“were just a little bit more fantastic than everyone else.”

Likewise, upcoming artists who performed on the smaller stages were also intriguing and generally put on a good performance too. It would be fair to argue that some were slightly below par and didn’t quite receive as much audience support as they were perhaps expecting.

If you were at this year’s Glastonbury, let us know what you think.
