Godzilla to Face ‘Classic Monsters’

The next movie in the continuing saga of monster movies, after this year’s Kong: Skull Island, will be Godzilla 2, and will apparently feature some familiar monstery faces.
The MonsterVerse started in 2014, with the promise of more movies in the same universe. The new synopsis for the next Godzilla movie has hinted at several iconic monsters being in the film. These include the likes of Mothra (giant moth) and Rodan (giant pterodactyl). The synopsis reads:
“The new story follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species – thought to be mere myths – rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.”
The Skull Island director Jordan Vogt-Roberts tweeted an image fairly recently, celebrating the start of Godzilla 2’s production.

Looks like they’re working hard.
Kong: Skull Island got pretty okay reviews, and the end credits scene offered a taste of what was to come. A modern 1v1 fight against the big ape, and the King of Monsters himself. But that’s not until 2020.
Safe to say I’m intrigued.
