The famous bakers, Greggs, has apologised for swapping out the baby Jesus for a sausage roll in a promotional image for its advent calendar.

The offending image shows the three wise men gathered around a tasty sausage roll, instead of Jesus. Twitter users said it was disrespectful to their religion. I, however, think it’s hilarious.

Look at this thing.

It was part of a way to promote their £24 advent calendar which has vouchers you can use to spend in stores. They apologised for the image, saying they hadn’t planned to upset anyone. Clearly, this was just a big misunderstanding. I’d buy just based on this image.

If you showed me this at the beginning of December I’d snatch up three, just because the baby Jesus is a freaking sausage roll.

10/10 Greggs.
