Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence has topped the world’s highest paid actresses of 2015 Forbes list. The actress pulled in an astonishing $52 million for her front role in the film, $16.5 million in front of second place Scarlett Johansson who gained $35.5 million for her role in Age of Ultron. A recent study found that just 21 of the 100 top-grossing films of 2014 featured a female lead or co-lead, while only 28.1% of characters in 100 top-grossing films were female.
The only one non-American that made the list was Chinese Actress Bingbing Fan who ranked at number four with $21 million. She is best known for her role in X-Men: Days of Future Past.
