There are literally thousands of different sources that give you advice on how to get a job. From cover letter templates to advice from YouTube, there are plenty of horizons to gain help from. But one bloke took a different approach.

Instead of doing a traditional cover letter, he decided to go the SoundCloud route. By self-producing a music video, to showcase his talents.

Seriously, it rivals Post Malone in terms of production value.

Texas copywriter called Chase Zreet really wanted to work with Sprite and Wieden + Kennedy in New York. The brand colour is strong here, with him representing Sprite with a lemon and lime on a chain, with alternating green and yellow suits.

He did the entire video on a hoverboard too.

So, bonus points for that.

Check him out.

You know what else?

He got the job.

The creative director at W+K told AdFreak:

‘There’s too much emphasis put on portfolios and not enough on the creative enthusiasm of a candidate.

We like it when candidates want to be at W+K for a variety of reasons, even beyond our work. All the better [sic] when they use their unique talents to demonstrate this. Chase made a great ad about himself. He persuaded us to invest in him. He won us over.’

Nice.
