Most schools in the UK have broke up for the Christmas holidays already, and even though the 25th of December is a matter of days away, Christmas might still feel ages away. Here’s our advice on how to make the next few days go faster, in the most festive ways possible.

- Bake lots of Christmas treats. Pinterest is full of all sorts of adventurous and creative things to bake for Christmas. So get the piping bags and star shaped cutters out and pre-heat that oven to 180 degrees.

- Wrap presents to perfection. Forget scrumpled wrapping paper and fingerprint-y sellotape, get the ribbons and glitter out and make your gifts look like a work of art.

- Movie marathon. There’s no shortage of cheesy Christmas films on TV at the minute, so see how many you can watch in the next few days. After all, you won’t be seeing them for another 12 months once this week is over.

- Browse the sales. Businesses this year have been alarmed to find that their sales have dropped unexpectedly, so they’ve been forced to drop their prices, meaning the Boxing Day sales have started early.

- DIY Christmas decorations. There are tones of creative and cool things to be made, as demonstrated by every Pinterest and Tumblr user ever.
