If you can’t beat ‘em, make memes out of ‘em. Or catch ‘em all. Can I stop using the abbreviation of ‘em now?

The annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is a sight to behold. With the earliest footage coming from the 1930’s, it draws a massive crowd each year. Unsurprising, given the spectacle on show. Massive balloons, including some of pop culture’s biggest icons. Like this mouse-type boy:

A few people even pointed out something that is…rather hilarious.

Twitter users noticed that the Macy’s parade attracted more people than the President’s inauguration. Seriously:

A Power Ranger is more popular than the president of the USA. I am shook.

This made me so happy.

I’m thankful for Twitter and for my ability to block out the fact we may be consumed by nuclear hellfire at some point soon.
