KFC Launches Chicken Flavoured Nail Polish

6 May 2016

Much to everyone’s surprise (and horror), it has just been revealed that huge fast food chain KFC is set to break into the cosmetics industry with none other than chicken flavoured nail polish!

That’s right, the multinational southern fried chicken restaurant chain will be launching two shades (and flavours) of its brand new edible nail varnish. One nude-coloured flavour is set to be ‘Original Recipe’ and the other deeper orange shade is ‘Hot and Spicy.’ Both the nail varnishes are edible and are intended to play on the brand’s world famous logo, “It’s finger lickin’ good!”

Unfortunately for all the curious Brits out there that actually want to try these new chicken flavoured nail polishes, they will be launching as part of KFC’s new campaign to help promote their food in Hong Kong only. The nail polishes will be launched initially as limited edition products as a tribute to the slogan.

Although the concept may seem funny to some, KFC are taking the matter very seriously and went in all guns blazing to the creation of the formula for the edible products. They collaborated with food technologists at spice company McCormick to ensure that the polishes tasted and smelt exactly the same as their renowned fried chicken.

The global food company has provided instructions on how to properly use the beauty products at the same time as making the most out of their flavour.

KFC wrote: “Simply apply and dry like regular nail polish and then lick – again and again and again to taste why the world’s favourite chicken is Finger Lickin’ Good.”
