Naughty Boy and Sam Smith’s single ‘La La La’ has now sold over one million copies in the UK. The track was released in May 2013 and went straight to number one, knocking Daft Punk’s ‘Get Lucky’ off the top spot.

According to the Official Charts Company, ‘La La La’ is the 148th track to have reached one million sales since records began back in November 1952. Sam Smith hasn’t been in the limelight for long but he has already won awards such as BBC’s Sound of 2014 and the Critic’s Choice BRIT award. Since releasing ‘La La La’ Sam has then been to the number one spot with ‘Money on My Mind’ and ‘Stay With Me’ from his debut album In the Lonely Hour, which is currently number one on the Official UK Album chart.

Naughty Boy has a lot to smile about as back in 2012, he produced Emeli Sande’s well-loved album, Our Versions of Events. Naughty Boy’s solo album, Hotel Cabana, went to number two in the album charts in September last year.

Well done boys!
