During the current b**pstorm that is the sexual harassment in Hollywood right now, singer Lana Del Rey will no longer perform her song Cola.

The song appeared way back in 2012 on the singer’s Paradise EP and contains some of her most lewd lyrics. She says she wrote the track imagining someone like Harvey Weinstein giving gifts to a young and upcoming star.

Lana has sold millions of albums worldwide with her most recent album Lust for Life being her most recent, which was released in July 2017.

She told MTV, ‘When I wrote that song, I suppose I had like a Harvey Weinstein/Harry Winston type of character in mind. I thought it was funny at the time, and I obviously find it really sad now. I support the women who have come forward. I think they’re really brave for doing that.’

The 32-year-old singer was concerned about the song lyrics when the accusations hit the producer, who harassed numerous actresses including Kate Beckinsale and Gwyneth Paltrow. More than 50 women have come forward with allegations of rape and harassment in the last month against the movie giant. Weinstein has lost his company and his wife left him.

So, some small justice there for the lives he’s ruined.

When asked if she would retire the song from future line-ups, she replied:

‘Definitely. That would be the only right thing to do. I don’t feel comfortable with it now. I thought of that right away.’

You know, you may not be a fan of Lana, but you can’t help but think she’s cool when it comes to stuff like this.
