Except the moth is Trump. And the flame is being a terrible president.

Evolutionary biologist Vazrick Nazari has identified a new centimetre-wide moth, coming from Zookeys.

It has a silky head with bright yellow scales, which the moth develops in adulthood. Its head has been described as an orange-yellow combination. The body is white, with brown or greyish wings. Another important detail for the punchline of this article would be its nether regions. They are comparatively smaller than that of its close relative, the Neopalpa neonata.

I mean…it’s kind of…cute?

It was named thusly.

Neopalpa donaldtrumpi.

Where can you find this new species you may ask?

Mexico baby.

The moth has been found in Southern California and along the coast of Baja California, in Mexico. Nazari told LiveScience:

‘I hope that the president will make conservation of such fragile ecosystems in the U.S. his top priority. These ecosystems still contain many undiscovered and undescribed species and deserve to be protected for future generations.’

While the name is a really good goof we can all agree that more should be done for the conservation of ecosystems such as this.

But given that he can’t even keep his relationships in check I’d say that’s something of a pipe dream at this point.
