Live Goldfish Swallowed

A man is facing prosecution after he drank a pint of Guinness with a live goldfish inside as part of an extreme drinking game that originated in Australia. At a glance, people will see this as a bit of crazy fun that got a bit gross. But people seem to miss the point that a creature was slowly suffocated/poisoned to death.

“It was just a gold fish, calm down guys” was a comment on Facebook regarding the cruel man and his cruel act. Well, here’s the reality: it would have still hurt the fish just as much as it would have hurt you. If you watched this happen to a human you’d have nightmares and need therapy, but people are somehow fine with seeing something that’s not a human slowly die a painful death? How arrogant.
