Logan Is Coming

James Mangold, director of the recently announced Wolverine title, has released an official poster for the final trek into Marvel’s most durable mutant.

The movie, titled Logan, is set to come out in March next year, and will be Rated R. The screenplay photo we have leads with an expletive from Logan straight away, and describes what sounds like a bar fight. It also seems, thanks to the descriptive paragraphs, this isn’t going to be an Avengers approach to collateral damage.

People will die.

Hugh Jackman, the Wolverine himself, has said that more details would be coming soon.

The story of the film is said to be loosely based on the Old Man Wolverine comic, and there is some speculation as to who he’s holding the hand of…

Could it be his child? Or the recently popular X-23, a female version of Wolverine, created for the same purpose.

There are a number of things that will need to be revealed, and probably will be before the year’s end. It’s going to be awesome to see Logan in a darker tone, much like he is in the comics. Maybe we’ll see a taste of the ‘berserker rage’ he exhibits frequently in the Old Man Logan comic.

The film has finished shooting, and will star Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, and Stephen Merchant.
