After a few months of dispute, Bethesda and Sony, like a divorced couple going to marriage counselling, are finally getting mod support under control.

So yes, mods will be coming to Fallout 4 and Skyrim for PS4 and PS4 Pro.

The mod support will be available in the Skyrim: Special Edition, which is released on October 28th. This will include (apparently) 4K rendering on the PS4 Pro, which will arrive in November.

The company noted that the two companies had “worked hard to make this possible,” and they were “excited finally to get modding to our PlayStation fans who have supported us for so long.”

Fallout 4 will be updated with the mod and PS4 Pro support, once “work is complete on Skyrim.” Bethesda said that on the PS4 Pro, it “expects Fallout 4 to take complete advantage” of things like the 4K rendering, along with the enhanced lighting and graphical features.

Skyrim: Special Edition will retail at £39.99, however PC players can get a free upgrade if they own all the DLCs and the main game.

Or, you know, install a mod completely free that’s far superior than any remaster they could ever do.

You know what’s coming:
