Momoa Apologises for Rape Joke

Game of Thrones star and Aquaman himself are apparently not exempt from being a b**phole sometimes it would seem.
In 2011, Jason Momoa made a ‘joke’ about staring in Game of Thrones, as leader of the Dothraki, a primitive people, but when asked about playing the role he said how he enjoyed:
“…rip someone’s tongue out of their throat and get away with it, and rape beautiful women”.
He promptly apologised for the comment a day later and has issued another statement on his Instagram concerning the ‘truly tasteless’ comment. After making the joke, many of the cast on the panel put their heads in their hands, while some audience members laughed.
People obviously called him out on Twitter for it:

But, people were happy to call out the hypocrisy and what Momoa has done since to rectify his mistake.

Given the current events in Hollywood, there are many cases like this coming through the woodwork. But often it should be recognised that nobody is perfect. It’s about how these actors go about their lives after the fact.
