Morrissey has denied defending Kevin Spacey against allegations of sexual assault, regarding comments he made in a recent interview.

The German newspaper Der Spiegel ran a story quoting the singer as saying the victims knew what they were getting into. He reportedly added that he would kill Trump ‘for the safety of humanity’, for brownie points we presume.

You ever think that he was so good at playing corrupt and evil characters is because he is one?

He said on his Facebook page ‘I foolishly allowed Germany’s Der Spiegel into my life.’

Cue eye rolling.

He then went on to reject several things that were published in the interview, stating:

In the original interview, he was quoted saying ‘rape is disgusting [and] every physical attack is repugnant’. But victim blaming is totally fine, as he cast doubt on the allegations against Spacey and Harvey Weinstein. He stated that ‘People know exactly what’s going on and they play along.’

‘Afterwards, they feel embarrassed or disliked. And then they turn it around and say, ‘I was attacked, I was surprised. But if everything went well, and it had given them a great career, they would not talk about it.’
He’s got such a punchable face.

What a git.

There was a massive backlash from people in the industry, with Garbage’s Shirley Manson saying the star had ‘lost the plot’ only with more swears. He was recently at a gig in Chicago, telling fans that if they didn’t see him saying the words, then he didn’t say it.

So, wait…does that mean his music is all a lie?

Hope so.

Bloody terrible.
