Moschino’s Weird and Wonderful Runway Show

28 February 2016

High-end fashion brand Moschino truly outdid themselves this autumn at Milan Fashion Week producing one of the most dramatic and avant-garde shows this season.

The much-anticipated show was spectacular from start to finish, featuring some of Moschino’s most weirdly wonderful gowns yet, including the chandelier dress above featuring real candles! The label assigned the hashtag #ItsLit to their latest show, symbolising how they were taking things ‘literally’ this season. And they certainly did not fail to live up to the hashtag, creating a cigarette-themed collection that took things to their limit.

The show seemed to grow in drama as it went on, beginning with ready-to-wear denim, leather jackets, and studs and heightening to truly avant-garde evening gowns where amazing textures were created using giant burn marks. Though the show was simply stunning, its exquisitely dramatic collection was no surprise from designer Jeremy Scott, who is widely known for an extravagant set.

The most memorable pieces from the collection include the chandelier dress, a sequined gown covered in burn marks, and of course the bright red singed finale of the full-length gown shrouded with smoke. If this show is anything to go by, we can’t wait to see what Moschino does next!
