In case you hadn’t noticed, Netflix has its fingers in all the pies. By pies we mean IPs. With every week gone, more and more original shows are added to the service, building a library that could rival, or even surpass the biggest TV packages.

According to Variety, the service will have roughly 700 original TV shows by the end of this year. 80 of these will be non-English. This figure also doesn’t include movies. Netflix previously announced they’d be spending nearly $8 billion on content this year.

52 new shows will be debuting on the service this month, however, the only ones people are likely to care about are Jessica Jones and the recently released Cloverfield movie.

There will also be a bunch of movies coming this year too. Thus far in 2018 we’ve had Bright, starring Will Smith, The Cloverfield Paradox and has released the first trailer for Adam Sandler’s newest movie, The Week Of.

Bright was met with an odd reception, with a very black and white response. You either love it or hate it. The movie revolves around a world where magical creatures exist in our society. The racial epithets are heavy, and the world building is meh.

Will we watch it?

Definitely not.

His face is how we feel whenever we see him in a movie.

Netflix is also host to the more adult-themed Marvel shows like The Punisher and Daredevil, both of which have been renewed for second seasons. The production for The Punisher season two is set for July.
