Never Take a True Friend for Granted

True friends are probably the most valuable thing you can have in life. They know your deepest secrets, your past traumas, all your jokes, all your memories. They’re in all your photos, all your thoughts and all of your future plans. And most importantly, they’re there for you in any time of need. That’s why you should never take a true friend for granted.

It may seem obvious that true friends shouldn’t be taken for granted. After all, they are a true friend. But by this, I mean you should do more than just acknowledge them. You should make sure they know how much you appreciate them being in your life.

The reason why this is important is because it is so unique to find a true friend who you genuinely get on with so, so well. How rare it is to find and establish a friendship so close with someone out of the seven billion others in the world. In fact, you could quite easily have made no true friend at all – least of all one like yours.

Myself and a true friend

A true friend is similar to a soulmate. They complete you in ways you didn’t even realise you needed completing. They brighten up your darkest day and they make the bright ones even brighter. True friends are genuinely lights of our lives and we should never, ever forget that.

Making sure you appreciate those who are special in your life and who get you like nobody else does is important. If you love someone, you must absolutely show it. One day they won’t be there anymore and you’ll regret ever holding back.

True friends deserve the all the love, respect and care you can give them sent straight to them. They are incredible – and we’re all lucky to have our own.
