In case you hadn’t heard, Nintendo’s next platform was revealed. Called Switch (see trailer at the end), it is set to ship 2 million units by the end of the financial year in March 2017.

During a financial meeting, Wall Street Journal’s Takashi Mochizuki, company president Tatsumi Kimishima said that the Switch will not be sold at a loss. This is a change from Nintendo’s formula, as their hardware is often sold at a loss, then regained through games and software. Selling the console at a gain should mean the console will be a little pricier than its predecessors, however Kimishima said Nintendo is “listening to what consumers expect from us when setting a price.”

Finally, the company president said that he believes consumers will understand what makes the Switch different from its cousin, the 3DS.

The console itself is a blend of home and portable gaming. Being able to take the console with you on the go, and then plug it in to stream on your TV.

The console will feature games like Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and a number of third party developers, including From Software, Bethesda, Ubisoft, and a helluva lot more.

It’ll be wonderful if it works as intended, and with the Wii U having only just hit 100 million units this year, after nearly 4 years on the market, we hope to see the Switch have just as long of a lifespan.

Here’s the trailer for it!
