While the NX may be the most illusive console for a while, and we know very little about it, it already has a rather beefy line-up of games. According to “sources close to Nintendo”, MCV has said that Nintendo will be releasing a Pokémon game, and a new Mario game within the console’s first 6 months.

It has been known for a while now that Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be released on both Wii U and NX. But Game Freak, the people behind the Pokémon games, are said to be bringing something to the newer platform very quickly after its release. It is unclear however whether the game will be a brand new entry, or a part of this year’s Sun/Moon games.

There will, obviously, also be a new Mario title, but no other information has been revealed yet.

The console was officially announced earlier this year, and before company president Satoru Iwata’s passing, he called it a “brand new concept” for gaming platforms.

The console is confirmed for March 2017, but Nintendo is  playing things rather close to the chest.

“In terms of NX, there’s an idea that we’re working on,” said Shigeru Miyamoto, Nintendo’s representative. “That’s why we can’t share anything at this point, and I don’t want to comment on the other companies. If it was just a matter of following advancements in technology, things would be coming out a lot quicker.”
