Manchester City secured all three points over the top class German side, Bayern Munich on Wednesday night .

All credit from the game went to the unstoppable Sergio Aguero placing a hat trick past Bayern’s keeper, Neur.

The German side went down to ten men just after the 20th minute when defender Mehdi Benatia was sent off due to a clumsy foul on Aguero.

The world class striker made sure he placed the penalty calmly into the back of the away sides net.

Just before half time Bayern turned the game on it’s head with an equaliser from Xabi Alonso’s free kick and Robert Lewadowski’s header.

The game stood at 2-1 until Man City’s number 16 kept their Champion League hopes alive.

First the striker ran clear and beat keeper Neuer taking full advantage of more sloppiness from Jerome Boeteng for the impressive last minute winner.

This was City’s first win in the group stages. They will now take on Roma for a place in the knock out stages of the competition.

The English Champions were lucky to secure the win over group leaders Bayern Munich considering they did it without suspended Yaya Toure, Fernandinho and injured David Silva and Edin Dzeko.
